Thoughts on the Malaita Day

My dear Editor - August 15 reminds me of my second voyage to Malaita on Malaita in 2016, when I made a five-hour cruise from Auki to Afio, a historic administrative stop at the entry to the magnificent Maramasike Canal. On my first journey I was only locked up in the city of Auki.

When I took my two courageous sailors on the long trip to the south, I recognized the expanse and nature of Malaita; the calming, unspoilt Are Are Are Are Lagoon, the vast landmass and the breathtaking Maramasike Pass. Soon I embraced calmly the beautiful nature of the south shore; I thought deep there and there.

Certainly, since I had learned through my interaction, I had experienced much more than my traditional Malaita skills. Witnessing the real Malaita bodily abilities; feeling the sense of tranquillity, fraternal charity, kindness; and seeing with my own eye the creativity that permeated the Malaita environment. very attractive for tourism and other future business activity; I was grateful for seeing these issues.

I would be proud to confirm....True well........ and our maternity, as the most resourceful, the most needed economical developments, and, more important, by His mercy; may God give and keep Malaita and our dear Solomon Islands, a blessing, a blessing to our people.

Southern Malaita Island

Known as Small Malaita and Maramasike for Areare Sprecher and Malamweimwei, South Malaita Iceland is the south tip of the bigger Malaita Isle in the east part of the Solomon Islands. It' now part of the province of Malaita.

After the Solomon Islands were proclaimed a British protectorate in 1893, South Malaita came under the efficient supervision of the British Revolution. It was administered by the people of the islands. 2 ] During the colonization period, the islands were split into the Asimeuri, Asimae and Raroisu'u quarters by the colonization and mission agencies.

Apart from Malaita, most small and south Malaita say only the term "South", everyone knows what they mean. However, the islanders prefered to be identified only with members of their large family, where the bonds are stronger, and with members of their clan and tribe ruled in traditional delimited areas known as Iola', run by a high chieftain ALAHAOUOUUU.

IOLA RAHA consists of 8 Iola: Hoasitaimwane, Kolutalau, Ououmatawa, Ueniusu, Uenisu Unu, Roasi, Iolairamo and Inamauri. One of the languages of the inhabitants of Small Malaita is Sa'a-Dialekt. It was the patrilinean race that the men had the most say in property law and were recognized as the heads of family, clan and tribe.
