I' ve used xe.com to track the US dollar to CFP rates, but recently found that the site is primarily for dealing in large quantities of currency similar to the purchase and sale of shares. Can there be a trustworthy way to know what currency rates a given individual would receive from a certain date?

Hello, the currency used in French Polynesia is the Franc of the Compagnie Française du Pacifique, usually known as the French-Pacific Franc. In many cases, the currency conversion prices are bank-to-bank prices on the web, e.g. at xe.com. Prices for US=XPF vary every day. You will get a slightly lower price in Tahiti than on xe.com.

CFP/XPF to Euro rates are a set lump sum (no fluctuation), so today 21 October; greetings, or better still Banque de Tahiti day rate: Exchangerate is "Dollar U.S. under Agate / TT", the offical site for the currency quote: Xe.com quotations the course from banks to banks (institutional).

As a good general principle, you should subtract about 5 points from this price to assess what a customer will get for an exchangerate at the airlines banking system. Usually, however, the conversion charge is between 430 and 490 cps per operation (not by amount), so it makes perfect business to have as few conversions as possible.
