Hike the Falls of Taveuni

When in Taveuni, you can simply take the early bird and get off in front of the Tavoro Infocenter and buy the entry ticket, then just take a stroll and dive into the sea! Sometimes it is not always simple to get the vehicle back to the city in the afternoons.

Then we went to the third cascade and back past the first two. Then we took the coach to the falls. We only had two hours to see these falls when we got there. We would not have had enough to see her or be there. The Taveuni is much less frantic than Viti Levu, and the miracles of nature of the islands are spectacular, this includes this one.

After cyclone Winston we went to all 3 falls after a rain period of one sunday. Surrounding the falls were luxuriant vegetation, which recovered from the cyclone. Back then the pools were cloudy and verdant, but that didn't stop us from bathing in what was fresh! The leader of our group said that the pools are sometimes clear on good mornings.

Please be sure to take some bug repellent with you when you choose to go swimming in the swimming pools, as the mosquitos can be very irreconcilable here. Within 30 minutes the second drop was a sharp, small ascent to a viewpoint that was recognisable from the first drop. There' s a big swimming pool, but the currents were too high when we were there.

Wish the state of the various basins under the waterfalls were better. Second and third falls were beautiful, but I wouldn't waste the hassle and hassle to walk up again. I and my missus walked with our tour leader to the third waterfalls and made a stopover on the way back.

After a long walk, the sea is a nice place for a bath. This hike itself is interesting and can be a little telltale (although this may only be due to the fact that we drove shortly after the Winston cyclone). There is a shallow and well groomed trail to the first falls, but the hike between the second and third becomes a bit interesting.
