Maya J. Matari? is an US computer science and biotechnology roboticist and Chan Soon-Shiong Professor of Computer Science, Neuroscience and Pediatrics at the University of Southern California. It is known for its work in the domain of human-robot interactions for social-assisting robotism, a new area that it has developed as a pioneer,[1] which concentrates on the development of bots that are able to offer personalised treatment and support through personalised rather than physiological interactions, through technology designed to support people with specific needs such as the elderly,[2] patients with strokes,[3][4] and autistic childhood.

www.ch was created in Belgrade, the former Yugoslavia's capitol. Kansas University. In January 1995 she came to the Brandeis University as Assistant Professor of Computer Science and in 1997 she transferred to the University of Southern California as Assistant Professor of Computer Science.

There, she was appointed Associate Professor, was given a polite interview in the Department of Pediatrics and was then appointed Professor. In 2005 she was Chairwoman of the Women in Science and Engineering Committee of the Viterbi School of Engineering; 2006 President of the USC Faculty and Academic Senate; 2006 Senior Associate Dean for Research at the Viterbi School of Engineering (2006-2011) and 2011-today Vice Rector for Research.
