Chatham's Air

Thank you Air Chathams! It was last weekend after my plane ride out of Palmerston North was canceled. 30 o'clock the evening before the trip and made the early trip to get the first plane out of Wang....anui for the outing. Book the last plane back for the afternoon, but my sessions ended early so called the client services line and was on the previous plane without problems or extra fees (do not know from many carriers that are so accommodating).

I was saved by Air Chathams! I got up early and landed at the Air NZ Air NZ in Auckland just to find out that I had grabbed my old pass and not the new one! How do I get my real pass within a few hour to get on the next plane?

First, I had to call Mrs. Kylie McCosh at 6am to find my pass, that'll be me in the puppy stall when I get back! The next call I made was Air Chathams, the only airline offering flights from Wanganui to Auckland, got Roy, who was very supportive and said he would try his best, but the next one went in 20 minutes.

So, I phoned my boss Warren Ruscoe, who ran very fast (within the limitations of course) to my home, got the pass and drove directly to Wanganui airport. In the meantime Roy had approached me again to tell me that they had shut the plane door and Warren hadn't made it, it will be on the next plane.

He called me back to tell me that the bottom deck team ran into the plains and the skipper opened the doors to take my mile! I had the right pass in my hand an hours later and changed a few flight reservations - a few additional $$ that will take me further to the kennel.

Awkward as I am because I made a simple/stupid error, I can't thank Air Chathams enough. So, Wanganui folks, whenever you want to fly, please use Air Chathams for your flight - these boys do it! Opposite one overnight at the airfield (There was no shelter available when I inquired) My last chance was Air Chathams. No need to say Air Chathams got the whole thing done. and because of the storm and rainy days, and my whole system was a little bit overcome by sorrow and depressiveness, we could still get on our Air Chathams plane, which was still flying us to our goal Whakatane.

Only when we arrived near Whakatane did the drivers want to judge the current position and make the choice to go back to Auckland or not - this was reported on board.
