From all Archie titles, except Archie Comics itself, this set has proven to be as long-lasting as its original one. That was the name to get if you wanted the latest work from Dan DeCarlo. In this book Dan presented Bettyâ??s Horsetail for the first time! Finally the song was reduced to Betty and Veronica, and in the 80's after 347 editions the song was cancelled just to be substituted by Betty and Veronica in part two.

" This is one of the most frequent kinds of triangle of love, called after the protagonists of Archie Comics, whereby the protagonist ("Archie") is trapped between two interests of sex with dramatically different people. "Betty " is the cute, dependable, daily girl next door guy (which could mean "kind of boring"), while "Veronica" is more seductive, a bit more timid and angular, but has more of a roguish or frosty person (which could mean "some kind of bitch").

Betty will be beautiful, but humble in her clothes, while Veronica's wife will be fan service in all her splendour. An often seen account of Betty Archie's faithful companion and usually his best boyfriend, who surreptitiously longs for him while being drawn (without knowing her feelings) only to Veronica, the muggy woman unattainable who hardly ever sees him.

Since however, the attitude towards what is "appropriate" has become more liberal, it is more acceptable for Veronica to have a shot at a successful end, if not with the lead character, then as part of a beta pair.

Films have always preferred Betty, but videogames, comics and TV shows (especially long runners) have been playing this trophy for everything it's valuable. Throughout sexflipped cases, the Veronica usually has the border, especially when the tale is focused on females, and if the (male) Betty is winning, you can wager that the fanfic writers will run to fix that.

Films have recently come to a trade-off with the Manic Pixie Dream Girl; sweet and not menacing, but thrilling and different. Cartoon and TV show franchise have a tendency to have long run continuity, as they reboot their roots continuously to prevent continuity barriers. Beetty may be the Light Feminine, while Veronica is the Dark Feminine in Light Feminine and Dark Feminine. It' difficult to tell which one is the Betty and which one is the Veronica. And if we defined the Betty as the submissive, the relative and the Veronica as the glamourous, envious, then Elphaba would be the Betty and Glinda would be the Veronica.
