Fiji Christmas Weather - Fiji Forum

Hello Kerry, I see you're in Sydney. Do you realize that Fiji is on the same degree of Latitude as Cairns? When you plan to go to the groups Mamanuca or Yasawa Island, the weather should be very hot/high and generally ideal. Although there are occasional "short" showers, the temperatures are generally the same: the west side of Viti Levu is the "dry side" (more rains would be to expect in and around the Suva - the humid side) Keep in mind that the cycle period is from November to April.

Hello, I go to the coral coast every year at Christmas season - it is so warm and wet that it sometimes rain, but mostly only for a little at noon. Although it is so warm, I loved it then - everyone is so lucky and celebratory.

For many years we have been on the road every year for Christmas and/or New Year and have been fortunate. The western part of the archipelago (Mamanucas and Yasawas) is generally dryer than the Viti Levu (mainland), which seems to get rainy at least once a year.

Sitting in the outdoors on a siald with a view of the main land in the outdoors. Obviously it can rainy anytime, like everywhere else, we always go back, so it can't be that hard. Last year we had Christmas on Malolo and the weather was great!

It wasn't wet at all, actually it was hotter in April when we normally leave. When we said we'd gone to Port Douglas the year before for Christmas, it was awfully warm and wet.

The far-flung places of San Luis, Cuba (7,697 leagues away) and Franquez, Puerto Rico (8,276 leagues) are the most similar to Nadi (see comparison). December in Nadi will see a gradual increase in clouds, with the proportion of the period when the skies are covered or mostly covered rising from 69% to 76%.

Most clear December 3rd is the most clear date of the months, with clear, mostly clear or partially cloud-covered weather 32% of the year. At Nadi, the probability of a rainy December morning increases dramatically, from 38% to 45%. The highest probability of a rainy morning on March 2 is 55%, the lowliest on July 7th is 12% The rate of the number of rainy and snowless nights with no traces: rains alone, combined and alone (rain and snows falling on the same day).

In order to show the variations within the months and not only the sum of the months, we show the precipitation that has collected over a 31 days cycle, which revolves around each one. Averaging 31 days of moving precipitation during December in Nadi is growing fast, beginning the months at 5. 2 Inch if it is seldom higher than 9. 1 Inch or drops below 1. 1 Inch, and ending the months at 7. 0 Inch if it is seldom higher than 12.

Mean precipitation (solid line) collected over a moving interval of 31 days, centred on the relevant date, with 25 to 75 and 10 to 90. Thin dashed line is the corresponding mean fluid equivalents of snow. During December in Nadi the length of the days is basically the same.

Shortst December 1st with 13 hrs, 7 min and the longest is December 21st with 13 hrs, 12 min. of sunlight. This is the number of times the sun is seen (black line). Nadi's earlyest dawn of the months is 6:25 am on December 1 and the latest dawn is 12 mins later at 6:37 am on December 31.

Early sundown is 7:32 pm on December 1st and the latest sundown is 16 mins later at 7:48 pm on December 31st. In Nadi, summer season is monitored in 2018, but it does not begin and end in December, so that the whole calendar week is summer age. On December 21, the longest of the year, the sun will rise at 6:32am and set 13hrs, 12 mins later at 7:44pm, while on June 21, the shorter days of the year, the sun will rise at 6:40am and set 11hrs, 4 mins later at 5:43pm.

A sunny year in December. Contrary to the typical fluctuation between nights and days, the tendency is for the condensation point to vary more gradually so that the temperatures can decrease at nights, while a sultry and humid full moon is followed by a sultry one. In December, the probability of a particular date in Nadi becoming humid increases from 94% to 98% during the course of the months.

In this section the mean value of the windvector (speed and direction) at a height of 10 metres above the floor is discussed. Winds at a given place are strongly influenced by geographic conditions and other variables, and the current windspeed and heading varies more than the hoursly mean. In Nadi the mean windspeed per hours during December is substantially steady and remains within 0. 3 mph of 11. 3 mph entirely.

On August 5, the most windy of the year, the mean windspeed is 13. One mile per hours, while on February 18th, the quietest days of the year, the mean windspeed per night is 10. Four mph. Averages of the mean windspeeds per hours (dark grey line), with 25 to 75 and 10 to 90 percent band.

Proportion of Hour in which the mean windspeed comes from each of the four main winds (North, east, southerly and westerly), except when the mean windspeed is less than 1ph. Slightly toned areas at the borders are the percent of the number of hrs passed in the implicit intersections (northeast, sutheast, southwest und northwest).

The Nadi is situated near a large river (e.g. oceans, seas or large lakes). In this section, the mean shallow waters are reported. In December, the mean freshwater temperatures in Nadi are substantially stable and are continuously within 1°F to 82°F. Diurnal mean diurnal watermarking ( "purple line"), with 25 to 75 and 10 to 90 centils.

Vegetation cycle definition varies worldwide, but for the purpose of this document we have defined it as the longest uninterrupted non-icing temperature cycle ( 32°F) in the year (the northern hemisphere or from July 1 to June 30 in the southern hemisphere).

Nadi's year round climate is so mild that it is not very important to talk about the vegetation period. However, as an example of the way in which the year' s average annual average annual average body heat is distributed, we have included the following graph. Proportion of cooling period in different ranges: cooling < 15°F < freeze < 32°F < very low < 45°F < low < low < 55°F < low < low < 65°F < pleasant < 75°F < high < 85°F < high < 95°F < glowing.

Rising degrees day is a measurement of the annual storage of thermal energy used to forecast the evolution of plants and animals and is measured as the thermal integrity above a basic level, where surpluses above a peak level are discarded. Nadi's cumulative growth rate is rising sharply in December, rising by 896°F during the course of the months from 3,964°F to 4,860°F.

Over the course of December, the weighted number of growth rate growth dates cumulated to 25 to 75 and 10 to 90. In this section, all the short-wave sunlight entering the earth's atmosphere every morning reaches the earth's crust over a large area, taking full consideration of seasons, the height of the sun above the horizontal plane and its absorbance by the sun's ultra-sound.

During December, the mean short-wave sunlight entering Nadi every day is substantially stable and remains within 0. 1 kilowatt hour of 6. 5 kilowatt hours. Averages the short-wave short-wave sun power per day that reaches the floor per m2 (orange line), with 25 to 75 and 10 to 90 percent band. The geographic co-ordinates of Nadi for the purpose of this document are -17. 803 degrees of latitude, 177.

Nadi's 2 mile landscape contains only moderate differences in altitude, with a peak alteration of 148 ft and an mean altitude of 35 ft above sealevel. There are only moderate differences in altitude (2,270 feet) within 10 mile. There are great differences in altitude within 50 mile (' 4,301 feet).

Within 2 mile of Nadi the area is occupied by farmland (43%), mangrove (32%) and tree (12%), within 10 nautical mile ( (33%) and farmland (29%) and within 50 nautical mile ((69%) and tree (18%). Weather in Nadi throughout the year, on the basis of a statistically accurate annual weather forecast and models from January 1, 1980 to December 31, 2016.

There' s only one weather data point in our grid, Nadi International Airport, which can be used as a protocol for Nadi's historic temperatures and dewpoints. Located 6 kilometres from Nadi, nearer than our 150 kilometre limit, this location is considered sufficiently close to be our main point of thermorecord.

Meteorological recordings are adjusted for the altitude differences between the observatory and Nadi according to the International Standard Atmosphere and for the changes that exist in the re-analysis of the MERRA-2 satellites between the two sites. The other weather information, which includes clouds, rainfall, wind velocity and orientation, and sun flow, is taken from NASA's MERRA-2 Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis.

The re-analysis will combine a multitude of large-area readings in a state-of-the-art worldwide weather forecasting tool to recreate the hours' weather histories around the globe on a 50-kilometer raster. Timezones for airports and weather station are provided by AskGeo.com. The weather information is susceptible to faults, failures and other faults. are ( (1) computer modelling, which may have model-based faults, (2) are roughly scanned on a 50 km raster and are therefore not able to recreate the microclimate fluctuations locally, and (3) have particular difficulties with the weather in some coastlines, especially small isles.

Please also note that our trip values are only as good as the underlying information, that weather at a particular place and at a particular point in times is unforeseeable and fluctuating, and that the values defined reflect a particular category of preference that may not match that of a particular readership.
