Fiji--Is it really good to remain on the "mainland"? I have a very short notice opportunity to travel. Usually I am not one for holidays where I just loiter on the beach every day or so for a few lessons, but I appreciate snorkelling, some sunshine and nice tropic shots.

We' ve been to some areas of Fiji and we' ve been enjoying them all for various purposes. When you are interested in seeing the genuine Fiji (not only touristic places), you will like it.

If it were possible to prolong your travel to the Yasawas - it is really nice there and would be a good way to end your itinerary. Otherwise, if you need to take the additional day at the starting line, go to one of the Mamanuca Island and collect your Intrepid group (provided it begins at Nadi).
