Inter-island traffic is provided by the local airline firm Airbus TAHITI. PAPEETE Airport takes you to the airport in 50 min. by airplane. There are sometimes two departures a night between TAHITI and TAHITI. From RANGIROA, BORA-BORA, RAIATEA you may not be able to return to TAHITI.

What makes Bora Bora different from Tahiti and Moorea - as a tourist resort?

Tahiti, the capital city, is quite commercially and not just a tourist centre. It' has a rather'developed' feeling, although you can find ways to get away from it all. But since you have gone so far (French Polynesia is far from almost every continent), you probably want to go to more picturesque and remote areas.

The Moorea is very nice and has a rough charme. Accommodation and resort are distributed in such a way that you don't really have the feeling of being in a tourism traps. Now Bora Bora, often considered the most gorgeous of islands in the whole wide globe, has a shimmering blue Laguna and many places of refuge for celebs.

It' essentially a nicer, more dazzling, more costly Moorea game. There are also many more luxurious hotels and a more sophisticated tourist industry (although this can sometimes be negative).
