Vaitape, the biggest conurbation on Bora Bora, is usually used for flight use. The airline operates from Bora Bora with the latest 48-seat ATR 42 and dual-engine ATR 72. Then RAI was re-named AAI, which in 1970 resumed the Douglas DC-4 flight in Bora Bora Bora before continuing to introduce Fokker type 27 turboprop on Papeete services in the mid-1970s[7] AAI also operated Bora Bora with de Havilland Canada DHC-6Twin Ottermand turboprop[8] AAI was in 1986 re-named AAI and this airline still operates Bora Bora Bora with ATR 42 and ATR.

Transfers by ferry between the airport and the hotel are possible. The information on your arrivals (time and number) is needed when you book your reservation. It is comfortably linked by air with Tahiti and the remainder of Polynesia. Air Tahiti flies between Papeete and Bora Bora every day.
Flying takes about 50 min. Air Tahiti does not offer air fare at midnight for safety reason, so you may have to stay in Papeete according to your schedules. After arrival in Bora Bora you will be met by our Airport Greeters and transferred by ferry to the hotel.
