Savusavu to Taveuni Ferry

The main island has regular ferry connections.

Ferries from/to Taveuni -Suilven and Lomaviti Princess

MV Lomaiviti Princess ferries sail regularly via Savusavu to Taveuni Island, usually twice aweek, but sometimes once a weekly. The embarkation period for travellers is about 4 pm and the sailing period from Suva is usually 6 pm or sometimes 12 pm (depending on the timetable), and the arrival in Taveuni lasts about 14-16 hrs (depending on the conditions and the cargo it will drop off and pick up from Savusavu).

The ferry also reaches the Wairiki shipyard in Taveuni around noon until 1 pm. You can take a shuttle from there. When you take a cab, make sure you are negotiating the price before boarding, as the cabs in Taveuni do not have taximeters.

Suva: Taveuni: Take the Patterson (Roll-On-Roll-Off) ferry from Natovi Bridge (Tailevu), a two-hour coach trip from Suva to Mt. Suva (Bua) (4-5 hours). There are two daily ferry services, the first one departing at 7 a.m. and the second at one or so. When you arrive in Neabouwalu, you can take the coach to Savusavu (about 2 hours) on a well-developed street.

In Savusavu you can take another coach to Natuvu (Buca Bay). In order to keep to the delivery schedule (and to interrupt the journey), you must stay one overnight in Savusavu, so please be ready. In Savusavu, if you want to go to Taveuni, there is a small ferry (capacity 50 people) that goes from Natuvu (Buca Bay) to Taveuni ("Korean" quay, near Naqara).

As the Taveuni Princess she usually drives 1 1/2 - 2 hrs every Saturday except to drive across Somosomo Street. He usually depart from Taveuni at 8.30-9 in the morning and arrive in Natalu at 10.30-11. Usually it depart from the landing stage in NATOUVU around 11.30 -12 o'clock. From Savusavu to Taveuni, there is a two-hour coach ride from Savusavu to natuvu, along a magnificent mountain route and a curvy roads.
