Parry Island
isle of Parryb][edit]>>
The Wasauksing First Nation (formerly Parry Island First Nation) is an Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi First Nation Nation band administration whose reservation is near Parry Sound in Ontario, Canada. The Parry Island in Georgian Bay forms their reservation. It is about 77 square kilometres in size and 126 kilometres long, making it one of the largest of the Great Lakes islets.
Wasauksing First Nation now occupied the whole island, although the historic harbor on the island was a non-aboriginal population. Reservations major street leads to the wasauksing swing bridge and connects to the Rose Point Rd in Seguin Township just to the south of Parry Sound. On to Parry Sound itself, the street becomes Emily Street on the Parry Sound and Seguin parish borders.
