I' ve been looking for a very unique Fiji resort for a long while. We' ve been spending a great deal of our free day trying to figure out which Fiji island to visit for our acres. Those next to Nadi (where the airfield is) seemed too big (like for 500 guests) or weren't near the local hard core, or just didn't get any good critics.

At the end I happened to find a jewel in hiding - Navini Island Resort. Yes, you won't find this place on any hotels finder page. The Navini Island Resort (not to be mistaken for Naviti - it's a very different place!) prides itself on the fact that it doesn't need publicity to flourish. It has so many faithful visitors who spend their Fiji vacation here every year and gain new clients thanks to first-hand advice.

The Navini Island is often referred to as a motel with one of the best Fiji Korean coves. From Nadi airport the airport shuttles in just one hours, so the motel was a great choice for us. The Navini Island is situated on a small island known as.... Navini. The" Resort" is actually only 10 mansions (called Bure), so that a max. of 20 people can live on the island at the same day.

The villas are spread all over the island and offer a great deal of intimacy and liberty. It really felt like we were on our own island. Situated on a sandstrand, just a few metres from the stunningly beautiful wall of rock! Even the coastline itself is one of a kind. You' ll find hundrets of parrot fish, morays, clown fish, cucumber, shark or turtle. The resort offers all snorkelling gear, as well as free kayak and SUPs.

Free daily boating excursions are organized: either to another coral island, to a Fiji town or to go fish. The sun in Fiji is very bright and you can get a sun burn while snorkelling. As we left, we also got a small gift - a creme of the indigenous Pure Fiji label (mini-cosmetics of this label were also in the bathroom).

But the only small minus: our Boer lay on a cliffy side of the shore, the other mansions had sands. There is a different choice of menus every single working days. We serve all our food according to Fijian times, i.e. you can discard your clock - you will listen to the drum as soon as the food is prepared for serving!

As we visited the Navini Island Resort, there were 3 other pairs (10 persons together with us), I must confess that after 3 nights we felt like one big familiy In the evenings everyone gathered to take part in all kinds of attractions: I was thrilled with this place. The Navini Island Resort makes a really astonishing impact.

It' hard to decide whether we liked it more here or Dana Villas in Santorini. We love the notion of a remote island aimed at achieving sustainability and supporting the communities. The owner (who also lives on the island) want to create an haven of relaxation away from civilisation.

In the Navini Island Resort you can really relax and combine with it. It is a true heaven for those seeking peace and quiet.
