Legislators have asked Google to rethink its links with China technological giants Huawei because it "could represent a serious threat to US domestic security" and US consumer confidence. Speaking to the CEO of Sundar Pichai on Wednesday, both Republic and democratic legislators said they were worried about Google's "strategic partnership" with Huawei.

Huawei, today the third biggest manufacturer of smartphones in the word in terms of global sales, operates a Google Android handheld OS on its own device. In January, they established a relationship to work on a new industry norm for cell phones. The Huawei Group is one of China's biggest technological enterprises, which produces entertainment electronic products in addition to its main field of activity, telecommunication products.

The legislator seemed upset that Google was continuing to work with Huawei when it ceased working with the U.S. administration early this past week on a plan namedject Maven. It used Google's AI ( "artificial intelligence") technologies to analyse droning material and imagery to help align droning attacks.

A lot of staff were annoyed by the fact that Google was working with the army. "We' re urging you to rethink Google's relationship with Huawei, especially as your organization has recently declined to re-new an important research relationship, namely Maven, with the Department of Defense. AI is used in this case to increase the precision of US objectives, not least to help diminish the number of civilians killed," the paper says.

"Whilst we deplore the fact that Google did not want to pursue a long and fertile history of cooperation between the army and the tech company, we are even more frustrated that Google appears to be more willing to back China's Communist Party than the US army. Huawei has been constantly charged by the US administration with working on account of the state.

Secret Service officers in February cautioned Americans not to buy Huawei machines because they could be used to intercept people. While AT&T, the China-based electronic manufacturer, was to travel to the USA via the AT&T cell phone system, the transaction failed. At the beginning of the year, the legislature passed a new bill known as the Defending U.S. U.S. Governance Communications Act, which would prohibit the use of appliances from China's companies such as ZTE and Huawei by the state.

"The German authorities are likely to take further action in the next few month to protect Huawei's US telecom network and businesses like him," the lawmaker said. Huawei leaders have been frustrated by the allegations made by the US administration in recent months. Richard Yu, director of the company's retail operations, said early this year that his competitors were using the policy to expel it from the US economy.
