The Yasawa Island Resort and Spa PERFECT Honeymoon - Review of Yasawa Island Resort and Spa, Yasawa Island, Fiji

The Yasawa Island Resort and Spa is a very unique place - a gem in the roug. We were there on our honeymoon and we'll never ever let go. Journey from Nadi to Yasawa was incredibly beautiful - we were flying over the blueest waters imaginable, and the landings on a grassy strip were definitely a fun one.

As we got off the airplane on Yasawa, some of the resort employees immediately welcomed us with a hot smile, crisp nuts and crisp cathedrals - it was like a nightmare. Then it was a brief ride (about 5 minutes) to the resort. When we arrived at the resort, all the personnel were there to see us with a typical Filipino tune, smile and smack.

Once again we felt so welcome and thrilled to be in Fiji. The resort's luxurious lido opened onto a large area of grass in front of the sea. There was a big and beautifully decorated Boer itself. Talking of having a good time, if you are not certificated for the SCUBA diving, I would suggest to get certificated before your departure - the diving spots are surreal.

I' ve dived 7 dives and was astonished every single underwater. Oh, and don't forgetting to have that personal picnic on the shore. The champagne was good, but we really liked Yawini Island. Quite your own island for the whole outing.... in the South Pacific. Or you can make your own dinner in your office or on the shore in front of your office - we did both and were delighted.

All of us from Australia, Spain and the USA were kind and made our stay at Yasawa even more pleasant than it would have been before. The most unbelievable thing was the personnel. Much of the personnel comes from the town of Bukama and these Fijians are truly beautiful souls.

You make everyone in the resort experience the feeling of a whole hostess. We' ll always be reminded of them (Samy, Bill, Emily, Lulu, Lita, Aggie and so many others) who made us so welcome at Yasawa. I' d like to mention two things that have appeared in other review - bugs and AC.

At the end of March we remained - it was still hot, damp and there were many showering places moving by - and so some beetles came into the buèr. However, I am living in Atlanta - the beetles in Yasawa were not much more bad than we have here, to be truth.

Apart from that, considering that you are on a secluded island in the heart of the South Pacific, I think any air conditioning system is quite amazing. So there were a few very small things that could use some improvement - despite these things we would 100% suggest this resort. It is not a 5-star resort - it is much better, yet very high class and yet much more original, charismatic and specific.

In Fiji and Yasawa Island Resort and Spa we used to love every moment of our age.
