Yasawa Flyer Catamaran
Flyer Yasawa CatamaranWe' re planning to be in Fiji in early December. Who is Viwa?
Maya of the fair Viwa! The Viwa Island is in Yasawas, so you will have to take either a high-speed catamaran or a floatplane from Nadi Airport to Viwa Island. Awesome Adventures operates the Yasawa Flyer, which leaves every day at 8.30 am from Denarau Marina. You will be dropped off at Waya Island (Octopus Resort) around 11.00 a.m., where we will collect you with our rescue boats and take you to Viwa Island, which will take another 30-40 mins.
FJD160 per student in normal and FJD190 per student in the Captain's Lounge. There is no charge to travel between the islands from Waya to Viwa Islands. On the way back we depart at the Octopus Resort and link you with the Yasawa Flyer, which takes you back to Denarau Marina at about 5.45 pm.
Two seaplane carriers are arriving at Viwa Island - Turtle Airways (FJD380 per passenger and route) and Pacific Island Air (FJD455 per passenger and route). A sightseeing trip from Nadi to Viwa Island lasts only 30 min. and can be booked according to your journey (if possible in daylight).
One of the big advantages of a seaplane trip is that you don't have to stay in Nadi. We' re pleased to organise the transfer for you - just let us know how you would like to get to Viwa with your flying data and we'll take care of the other.
As for the corals around the Isle of Viwa, the cycle did not cause much harm to the corals, but as in the whole area, there are some bleach. There are also free snorkeling liveaboards a little further away so that visitors can snorkel in other areas of the islands where corals are more colorful.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you to our little paradise for snorkeling.
