The William Kaula Award - Honorary Program

THE AWARD: Entitlement to nominate: 1. Entitled nominee. Relation to a Kaula Award nom. Subsequent relations must be designated and reported to the Kaula Prize committees, but do not discredit any person from taking part in the nominating or verification process: Present deacan, head of department, superior, boss, laboratory manager, a person with whom one has a present commercial or pecuniary relation (e.g. associate, employers, employees); a person who works in the same establishment or has taken a job in the same one.

Persons with the following relations are not eligible to participate in the Kaula Award nominating or evaluation procedure (e.g. nominees, supporters or members of the committee): Former graduates (Masters or PhD students) and/or postdocs or postdocs may not submit a written application for nominations, but may submit a covering note after five years of termination of the employment with the candidate, starting on January 1 after the year of termination of the employment with him.

An ex-candidate or former post-doctoral candidate may not draft a written application to nominate a former consultant, but may, after five years of termination of the employment with the candidate, draft a written application for support from 1 January following the year in which the employment contract was ended. Kaula Award Election Board chairmen and members are in conflict with the above mentor-mentee relations and should withdraw from participation in the consultation, assessment and consultation processes for each candidate.

The end of a dependency is as follows:: Kaula Prize Committee members may for other reason find that they have disputes - or possible disputes - that call for removal from the ministry and then act upon this finding if they believe that the ministry could compromise the equity of the competition.

You should include the following documents in your nominations pack, which should not exceed two (2) pages per document: Nominations letters with a set of quotations (i.e. quotations should be 150 or less). Candidates' lists (1) name, (2) postal and email addresses, (3) job histories, (4) degree, (5) research experiences, (6) awards, (7) membership and (8) fellowship services through board work, councils, etc.).

All in all, 3 supporting notifications ("Support Letters"). Notice that only full packs will be sent to the Kaula Award Committee for consideration. Nominees for the Kaula Award can submit (1) on-line or (2) by post.
