Diving off Niihau - Niihau - The Forbidden Island, Kauai Traveller Reviews
Came to Ni'ihau for a three-dive with Port Allen's below-bubble. It' a two hrs drive over and three hrs back, because the winds are almost always increasing and the returns are harsh. It' the Forbidden Island because it is forbidden to end up there, but scuba dives in the coastal areas are well known.
It has an unbelievable vulcanic texture and the creatures have found many places where they can build their houses. There were manta rays, shark and many of the characteristic tropical Hawaii. It was very co-operative and posing for many images. It would not be my best diving holiday, but it was very pleasant and Below offered her customary high degree of services.
Hawaii's forbidden Isles tragedy before, during and after the Pearl Harbor War.

The Papohaku Beach
Each place has its own mysteries, and if it is such a nice and marvelous place like the one in Cambodia, you can be sure that most of its mysteries will also be quite astonishing. When this is not your first holiday in Howaii, or when you just don't want to be in the midst of the multi-year crowds of Hawaiians, we've put together some of the best kept places to stay.
However, if you can get to any of these four places, your journey to these places will definitely be different from most. There' s no other sandy area in Hawaii longer than the lovely Papohaku on Molokai. As soon as you get to this splendid sandy spot, you'll hardly see any humans; do you know why?
Now that' s because not too many folks know anything about the beaches! Nevertheless, it is an ideal place to just lie on the shore, just relaxing in the rays and enjoy a little loneliness. Situated near Port Allen Harbor, Glass Strand in Hanapepe is a must for those who know how to find it.
All of the beaches are full of seaglass pearls in different colours and dimensions. It is a wonderful place, which is neither completely naturally nor completely man-made. For centuries, the sun and the ocean have transformed the crystal into naturally looking gravel, but they originate from the bottle and other synthetic materials that were thrown away a long time ago.
Often it is tried in futility to find the infamous but undercover mermaid cave. According to the legends, the mermaid's cave can be found somewhere near the lee shore of Oahu but there is no assurance that it is genuine information. Although we are not sure whether you will see pretty (or ugly) maidens, even if you find the place, everyone who has been there says that it is an astonishing one.
It may be a worthwhile journey on its own, but you need to find someone who's been there before. There' is a good explanation why Niihau is known as "Forbidden Island" and that it is really forbidden for those outside! If you want to end up on the Robinson Islands to take a look at things, you have to get approval directly from them.
In addition to the Robinson members of the Robinson group, some 300 Hawaiians live on the isle. Even if you don't find all the places listed here on your next Hawaiian tour, you should at least try.
