Is it Auckland or Christchurch? Who has better environment overall, Auckland or Christchurch. It is the garden city because of less rains and less rainy nights and warm weather when the northwest is blower. Is it Auckland or Christchurch? I' ve been living in both places (AK 12 years, ChCh 14 years) and voluntarily acknowledge that I'm prejudiced towards ChCh. But, you want long, warm, humid Summers, if sometimes, then Auckland is your place.
This is a great critic of summers, which the NW cannot fully offset. Auckland' s winter are IMHO less convenient than CHs though fluffy up there just makes the weather seem worse, though its generally cooler in the South its sunnier in general than up north.

Auckland' s not getting the frost chCh gets. And I like the chilly, freezing weather. Although Auckland is very susceptible to donner, I like the Canterbury storms, they can be more tragic, especially those that evolve on the flats than on the ocean.

I said thank you: Is it Auckland or Christchurch? Auckland' s SWer is particularly irritating in the warm weather. One hears a great deal about the ENE inch, but only visits it in the winters and is cooler, either it is raining or it is a totally clear sky and in the winters there are hardly any wind in the south.

Is it Auckland or Christchurch? They can get more than once a year a lot of snows, storms as a surprising sudden change of winds after a drier one often NE-directions, Auckland gets more miserable nights, but only few are producing a little more than just storms and rains.
Is it Auckland or Christchurch? I' ve been living on both the South and the Northern Islands and never cared about the climat. However, in the northern part we have longer summer and obviously less chilly weather due to the degree of breadth.
