Alzheimer' s is the most frequent of these diseases, in which microtubuli from neuritic cells that fill with fibrous strucutre. A constituent of the filamentary structure is the microtubule-associated protein (MAP), tau. Tau protein is the result of a singular protein that is predominantly express es in neurones. The tau protein can be further altered after it has been phosphorylated at several points.
