Weather forecast for Sunday

Today's prospects are that an anti-cyclone will mainly result in sedentary weather in most parts of New Zealand. However, tropical cyclone Hola is sweeping southwards from the tropical regions, which means some volatile weather for parts of the North Island on Monday, more on that today at 3pm. It was a predominantly quiet afternoon over most of the North Island today, especially in the further southern part.

The tall clouds ejected by tropical cyclone Hola are now thickening above the north-island. Sunshine for most of South Island today, some high clouds for the lower half of the island.
