Season Timetable
Flight schedules are valid from 1 May 2018 to 1 October 2018. The water taxi we are planning will depart from Horseshoe Bay. All our ships are well serviced, air-conditioned and run by a qualified team. Pre-booked on-line $28.00* adults per trip. Adults are charged $30.00* each way on the ferry.
Charging to your $30.00 + GST adults per range. A surcharge will be added for excess cargo at the master's option. Alerts are only validated on the dates of the schedule run.
Parking
You' ll have to park your car in Horseshoe Bay. It can be a disappointing park in Horseshoe Bay, especially on a sunny week-end, so please give yourself plenty of parkings. The Camp Fircom can only be reached by ferry. Mercury Transport Water Taxis operate from Horseshoe Bay in Western Vancouver from a privately owned jetty just south of the Boathouse Restaurant.
From Horseshoe Bay we have organised a 11:00 and 12:00 hrs water taxi to the Camp Fircom Government Dock. And if you do not plan to stay the whole day, we have also arranged a water taxi home at 23:00. A water taxi we charter costs $15/person per way.
Should one of these dates not be convenient for you, please enquire with Mercury about our frequent cruises between Horseshoe Bay and Camp Fircom or arrange your own charters. One of the biggest coast islets in Howe Sound, Gambier has preserved its unspoilt natural habitat with very little evolution. It is a truly concealed shrine for recovery with luxuriant verdant woods and lonely sands.
The people of Gambier are welcoming and welcoming because there are no streets and the local people are very small all year round. Situated to the south of Bowen Island, Gambier Island has many lonely coves and walking paths to explore. The south-western side of Gambier is deep in a row of coves, while the northerly sides are more steep, with some small coves open to exploration.
Northeast of Gambier, Anvil Island is rising out of the ocean on all sides. Gambé Island is also a great place to fish for lox, stockfish, Cod, Atlantic coalfish, greenlings, flounder, Halibut and Cancer. The Howe Sound is inhabited by practically every kind of invertebrates, squids, echidnas, shrimps and western coast swam.
The Gambier skiyline is also a great place for birdwatchers and is interrupted by the flights of falcons, gulls, ravens and seabirds.
