Taveuni Vuna Village

The Taveuni and the village of Vuna. If you get off near the lower village, someone will show you the way to Vuna Lodge, just a few minutes walk. It is traditionally covered by the men of the neighbouring Vuna Village. This lagoon and the southern part of the village of Vuna occupy an area known as the Southern Cape. It is only a few minutes from Vuna Village and it is a great place to meet the locals.

Cyclone Five met Fiji on Saturday 20 February and is the severest and most powerful cyclone in the southern hemisphere with devastating wind speeds of up to 325 km/h. Deaths have risen to 42 since 27 February and are forecast to rise, according to the Fiji National Disaster Management Office.

It' a very traumatic event for most Fiji residents and their homes who live abroad and see these pictures and hear about the damage on the web. And hello to my non-Fijian boyfriends and mates. Name is Adi Katarina Lala Vakarau and I come from the village Vuna in Taveuni.

I' m currently living with my man and 3 kids in Geelong, Australia, and we were all very sad about the damage caused to the village of Vuna by Cyclone Winston. Also we thought of raising some money to help my wife and daughter who got rid of their houses and possessions in Vuna. It' s really heartrending to see my houses all get torn, because I can still remember the good memory I had as a small kid in the village when I slept under a metal rooftop and had bathrooms in concrete cisterns. It was once a nice place that has now been ruined.

I' m collecting money by various means to help my father, the Paulo Lala people and the village of Vuna to build what they can. Cyclone Winston destroyed his wife and my great-grandparents' house and other houses. I would like to thank you and VINAKA VAKALEVU for taking the opportunity to take the opportunity to review my call and to give and give some of my loved ones in Vuna and here in Geelong.

God continues to give you and your families abundant blessings. addToggle : fonction(trigger, element/élément, expanded){ $(élément). addClass("onread-more-expand") ; // $(élément).parent().find(".share_and_donate"). addClass("small-12 large-12") ; //$(").insertAfter($($(élément). find("div"))) ; // $(élément).find("br"). removeClass('hide') ; // $(élément). addClass("show-full-content") and if((expanded) { $(element). removeClass("onread-more-expand") ; // $(element).parent().find(".share_and_donate"). removeClass("show-for-large-up"). hide() ; // $(element).parent(). addClass("padding-bottom-30") ; // $(element).find("div"). removeClass("small-12 large-12") ; // $(element). outToggle: Function (trigger, item, extended) { if(! ) { $(item).siblings(".share_and_donate_text"). show(); }

Best regards, Sinjani, many thanks for the donation to my fundraising page Fiji Cyclone Winston Appeal - Vuna Village, Taveuni. I would like you to ask just a small favor, please tell your fellow Members, your families and your boyfriends, that would be very welcome. Sincerely, my father's relatives in Namoli, Vuna had all 6 houses and possessions gone when Cyclone Winston struck Fiji on Saturday, February 20.

At present my grandma, uncle, aunt and their kids have no home and live with other Vuna's homeeless family in the south of Taveuni Island.
