Visit Waiheke Island
Go to Waiheke IslandHow much is the cab approximately? If you are not sure whether you want to visit the island, and the boat trip times, there are cabs that wait for occasional rates and reservations at the Waiheke cab stand in Matiatia. The Mud Brick and Cable Bay are near the PTS.
It has a public transport system that serves the island's advanced parts. You can also find cabs in the major towns, among them the ferries terminals at Ostend and Onetangi Beaches. Under the standard itinerary, we can only take a cab from the boat station to Cable Bay or Mudbrick, have an early 11am meal and then ask the vineyard pub to call a cab to take us to Onera.
Each of these is a good option and Waiheke is a wonderful island. I' m not planning to take the coach from there to other places on the island, as I don't want to overpack. It is horseshoe shape and ideal for a walk on the beach.
Busses to Mátiatia stop in Oneroa, outside ANZ Bank, and also towards Little Oneroa Strand, near the Red Cross build. Each turn in the street at Waiheke provides a different breathtaking view....I like the turn of Oneroa Strand and the Oneroa River Oneroa tree along the shore...walk through the cliffs when the flood comes to Little Oneroa.
" A few trips hit visitors at the Fährterminal, so an old one, say 9:30 o'clock, would mean that you have to spend half an hours hanging around in this area, which may not be a good use of your free travel hours, as it seems on Google Maps that there are not many possibilities.
