Vanuatu Honeymoon
The Vanuatu HoneymoonWe will then go to Santo for 4 overnight stays in Aore. Hopefully these will be great, but maybe we can make one or two days trips and see the other resort. Including Santo? Vanuatu, I suppose, has Australian-style salespoints. As this is perhaps our only time in Vanuatu (at least for many years), what are the "must see's & do's" on Efate and Santo?
Not all your queries I can give you, I wasn't in Santo (although I'm already planing my next trip!), but yes, the sockets in all the places I was were were the same as in Australia, and I was wearing a skirt with shortsleeves in the city or three-quarter trousers and a blouse.
In Efate - Port Victoria - you have to go to the Mele Cascades - they are so beauty. We' re staying 7 days in the Sunset Bungalows, so there are other activities near the town. Anybody else with any idea about Santo? Make a journey around Efate, there are some tour operators like Melanesian Tours that are outstanding.
The Eton Beaches, the fresh water lake of a small town, Devil's Point, Hideaway Island, Pango Beaches are just some of the things I can imagine to see. It' much less expensive than a tour organizer. The bungalows have no beaches, but a beautiful view of the lake.
You sound like you've reserved 2 very nice seats, even without the help of JAV. With the help of our new" Things to do "-List you can now create an elaborate "Things to do"-list and make sure that you don't miss anything. A few cards really did help me plan my first journey, so here are a few ideas.
When you look for "driving around Efate" or "round island day trip " in the forums, you will find that some like organized trips, while others like to rent a vehicle or drive a vehicle for the whole outing. In the Sunset Bungalow, the folks can help you. While we really enjoy our stay at the museum in Port Vila, you really have to put up a little additional money to get a full appreciation of what you see.
If you have any other thoughts, here are some evaluations of things to do for Port Vila and Santo. Honeymoon's fantastic, I trust.
