The name Turtle Island is the name of North America after some tribal groups. Turtle Island is now used by many aboriginal peoples, right-wing groups and conservation activists[6], especially since the 1970' s, when the word became more widely used. Gary Snyder later argued in an article in At Home on the Earth that this was a North American word that synthesized both tribal and colonizing crops by interpreting the tribal name into the colonizer's language (the name Isla Tortuga in Spain is also proposed).
As Snyder points out, North America's concept of Turtle Island will help change the way the planet is perceived. The name Abya Yala was used by the Kuna and others to describe the Americas before the Columbus arrived. The name Zipacna was the demon ( "crocodile") personalization of the Earth's craters and was the name that the Mesoameric groups used to relate to their own worlds, which evolved into what is now known as the Americas continents.
This is the name of the Isthmic region of Middle America, according to Popol Vuh. It was described as a large, proud and powerful alligator whose prickly ridge symbolised the mountain scenery that floats on the primeval ocean and characterises the geothermal and igneous landscapes of Middle America. This is Turtle Island: Originally named North America
This is Turtle Island: One of the most widely spread Aboriginal nation of Turtle Island. A number of the population of Aishinaabek live from the subarctic of Canada via Turtle Island to Mexico. A lot of natives say that they are Anishinabek, like the Ojibway also Chippewa, the Odawa, the Potawatomie, the Algonquins in the northeast of Ontario and others.
Many countries are similar to the Aishinaabek, such as the Algonquin related peoples on the east coast, the Arapaho cation and the Tsitsistas cation, also known as Cheyenne in the prairies, and the West Coast yeurok national. ANISHAABEK is a widely spoken indigenous tongue on Turtle Island.
Niiji is an ancientinaabek of the Ojibway and Cree, which was used to mean boyfriend. Recently, the Aborigines of Turtle Island have often used the name Niiji to refer to each other and equate themselves with the meanings of the words Indians. There is a Spanish variation of the Spanish language and a Spanish variation of what Turtle Island Natives from India call Indians.
Niiji clearly identifies the individual as a native of Turtle Island except Inuit. If used today, the word Indian could mean a Indian or any other native of any one of the continental Aborigines with a lifestyle similar to the Turtle Island population.
In a similar way to the word Indians, which refers to the natives of the turtle island, the natives of the Arctic were named Eskimos. Eskimo is not a concept that the natives of the Arctic used to call themselves, but a concept used by Europeans who come from the Cree tongue and call humans rough butchers.
Since the Eskimo is not an Arctic abstract concept, the Eskimo was superseded by what Aborigines in the Arctic call themselves, the Inuit. The Inuit means man in the Arctic indigenous languages and the Inuit means man in theirs.
Inuktitut is their name. In many cases, the name Niiji has already superseded the concept of Indians among indigenous youths and oldest and could fully supersede the concept of Indians, as the concept of Eskimo was superseded by the name Inuit. Each indigenous country on Turtle Island has its own tongue and name.
Niiji does not substitute the name of the natives; it substitutes the broader word Indians, which relates to all the natives of Turtle Island and at the same times clearly identifies the natives of the island and rules out any other indigenous country, also known as an Indians. Turtle Island natives, who call themselves Niiji, call themselves Niijis, no matter what country they come from, just as Europeans, Asians and Africans call themselves Europeans, Asians and Africans.
They often speak an indigenous Indo lingua franca and disregard the fact that there is not a tongue that all Europeans speak, there is not a tongue that is used by all the indigenous peoples of Turtle Island. Niiji makes it clear that there is no such thing as a native Turtle Island native because there is no such thing as a Niiji name.
As there is not only one foreign tongue on one of the mainland, there is not a single native Turtle Island one. Turtle Island's natives have decided to call their own planet Turtle Island. You have selected the four color edged flags - the four colours Turtle Island residents, and in some cases, the non-native inhabitants of Turtle Island - as the general one.
You' ve selected a common icon of the medicine wheel with the four colours as Turtle Islandinsignias. Use of the name Niiji by the natives of Turtle Island is only logical.
