Travel to Chatham Islands

Napier is open during the summer season. No passport requirements to travel to the Chatham Islands and there are no travel restrictions. How is the time difference on the Chatham Islands? Is there a shuttle or taxi service on the island? I will have my feathers ingrown when I become a big bird:).
