Mariana's Visitor Authority - Saipan and Tinian

In the 1520s the Marianas were slightly populated by the Chamorro when Magellan was claiming them for Spain. In 1899 the Spanish bought the islands to Germany, the Germans destroyed them 20 years later to Japan, and the Japanese did not feel much better, as they forcibly ceded their influence on the islands to the USA during the Second World War.
Today the Northern Mariana Islands are an area of the United States, while the Japanese come to the islands as tourist (Saipan is their most favourite after Guam). Meanwhile the Chamorro are more or less marked from the image, so that there is little authentic culturality in the Marianas.
Ferdinand Magellan, who ended up in Guam and took over the islands for Spain, was the first person in charge of the area. They were then conquered from Spain as part of the Spanish East Indies and were thus regarded from the Philippines under their rule.
Following the Spanish-American Wars of 1898, Spain handed Guam over to the United States and traded the remainder of the Marianas (along with the Caroline Islands and Marshall Islands) to Germany. During the First World War, Japan declares Germany and conquers the northern Mariana Islands. The League of Nations, forerunner of the United Nations, mandated the islands to Japan in 1919.
Towards the end of the Second World War, the US army marched into the Marianas on 15 June 1944, beginning with the Battle of Saipan, which took place on 9 July with the late Japan commandant, Sepuku ( "a classical method of ceremonial suicide"). Together with Guam in the north the Marianas are the Northern Marianas.
There are shallow terraced calcareous islands with fringed coves. They are volcanically, with volcanos on Anatahan, Pagan and Agrihan. The volcano Anatahan is a small volcano 130 kilometers from Saipan. Large amounts of coal and rocks were released on April 6, 2005, resulting in a large dark clouds drifting southward over Saipan and Tinian.
Saeipan - home of the capitol and by far the most favourite travel spot. NORTHIAN ISLANS CITY - The range of islands stretching just off Saipan. Saeipan is the capitol of the Marianas in the Nordic countries. Garapan, on Saipan, is the center of the tourism business and is the place where most tourist resorts are in.
Calabera is a small town in the northern part of Saipan, with an imposing caves. Songong is the biggest town on the Rota isle. Suzupe is another Saipan town with about 2,000 inhabitants. They have some great dive sites and great dive sites to discover. There are also several World War II relicts spread around the Isle, among them several B-29 bomber, Japonese bomber and sunk vessels.

Most of the most talentful choristers of the Northern Mariana Islands amuse the audience, who can taste home made meals from some of Tinian's most skilled chefs. Professionals and amateurs come from the USA, South Korea, Japan and as far as Italy. Although this Rota is one of the youngest in the Northern Mariana Islands, it is already one of the most beloved activities on the Isle.
Attendees can take part in a two-day workshops on the cultivation and maintenance of these modest vegetables or take part in a cookery contest to discover the island's most delicious yam cuisine. Saipan Fishermen's Association is sponsoring this Saturday's season's Fishermen's Fishing Contest, which takes place in mid-April. Fishermen come from all over Guam and northern Mariana Islands to compete in up to five different category awards.
The Sususpe Civic Center beach front three days long revolves around the brilliant flaming flames of Saipan in full bloom at the end of April. It is also a window to the best dancing groups of the Northern Marianas, as well as performing arts and grocers. As well as the large selection of dishes that Saipan's top rated establishments and restaurant are preparing for the event, the event also offers barkeeper and cookery contests as well as musical performances by Saipan and around the globe.
Christmas on the northern Marianas is a one-month festival that begins on December 1st when a giant Christmas pole with lovely candles is revealed on the Paseo de Marianas. North Mariana's climates are characterized by tropic weather with low temperature fluctuations and a pronounced rainy time.
Averages are around 29°C during the day and the highest measured temperature is only a fewº. The temperature drops to a mild 23 C at midnight with a all-time low of 19 C in Saipan! The Saipan International Airport (SPN) in the German capitol is the major gate to the northern Mariana Islands.
South Korea offers Seoul and Busan with Asiana, Japan offers Northwest Airlines with Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo. Through its Continental Micronesia affiliate, Continental Airlines offers services from the Philippines and Guam. Persons arriving from North America must join in the latter.
Roa International Airport (ROP) offers services to Guam with Freedom Air and Continental Connection from Continental Air (operated by Cape Air). Saipan, Rota and Tinian all have marina installations for boats. Cappa Air is flying between Saipan and Rota. Some other small carriers also operate this service and also between Saipan and Tinian.
After Rota it lasts about half an hours. Hiring a vehicle is a good way to explore Saipan, which has a fairly large road network and relatively few coaches. The same is true for most streets on Rota and Tinian, although some side streets make it necessary to hire a four-wheel drive vehicle.
There' s a little less than an hour's drive from Tinian to Saipan. It is the same as the United States but also includes Taiwan and Hong Kong. In addition, the Northern Mariana Islands (together with Guam) participate in the Guam-CNMI Visas Waiver Programme.
Nationals of some counties admitted to the German Visa Waiver Programme - Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore and the United Kingdom - may also come under the Guam-CNMI VWP and participate in both programmes. Travelling to other parts of the USA outside China under the Guam-CNMI V.W.P. is not permitted.
Russian nationals are entitled to probation (essentially the same as visa-free travel) to visit the northern Mariana Islands (but not Guam). Due to the different regulations for entering Guam, a complete border control is carried out when travelling to/from Guam. Please be aware that persons from the following states are not allowed to come to the Northern Mariana Islands (therefore no visas will be issued):

US Dollar, or "Greenback", is the local money of the Northern Mariana Islands. The majority of companies favour Filipinos, but also people from Thailand, China, South Korea and Bangladesh. North Marianas college is Saipan's communal collegiate campus and they have satelite campus at Tinian and Rota. Japanese is also used by many in the tourism sector.
Whilst all of Chamorro's favorite US and Japan are easily available, the Chamorro cuisine ( "tourist versions") is also available in specialty canteens. The majority of most of the hotel establishments have pricey but good places to eat, especially Hyatt Regency in Garapan, Aqua Resort in Tanapag, Pacific Islands Club in San Antonio. Tinian and Rota are even more restricted.
Budweiser and Miller beer, which are normally only available in bottle, are the most important types of beer available from our factories. Widely used trademarks include San Miguel (Philippines), Tsingtao (China), Sapporo (Japan, filled in Canada) and Corona (Mexico). Many shops on the island have cheap, good qualitiy wines available, and there are many hard beverages as well as blender available everywhere.
No inoculations are prescribed by law to go to the Northern Mariana Islands. It is a good thing to get your immunizations in order before you go to the Northern Mariana Islands. There have been reports that their vehicles have been robbed in the Saipan tourism areas, and some have even had their homes or rooms collapsed.
Don't let your belongings lie around and use good judgment when strolling in touristic areas, especially at nights. However, Saipan is much more secure than many other travel locations, as raids and other acts of violence against visitors are very seldom. For the Northern Marianas the top-level domainname is .mp.
