Snorkelling on the North Shore, canoeing to small islets off Kailua Beach or standing paddling in Waikiki - there's always a good time to get soaked. Dive with local fishermen in a sheltered cove, sail in a jib kayak, sail a para -sail over Diamond Head into the sky or take in the panorama view of Waikiki on board a 45-footatamaran.

Dive into the sea - on a boating trip, on a plank or with your own fins - is a great way to see Oahu. But as with any exercise, pay attention to the warning. Though much is spelled about the waters that surround this little cliff known as Oahu, there is so much to say for the cliff itself.

Nearly 40 holes span this minute area, from the Royal Hawaiian Club's destination jungles to Turtle Bay's pro-style left. A flight over the islands opens up a fascinating future. Dolphin shellfish encircle the islands, and discovering them can be as simple as freeing yourself in the sea.

Oahu's coast streets are shallow, well asphalted and unfortunately flooded by highways. To be honest, cycling is not much fun in Waikiki or Honolulu.....
