The South Island - Top Golf Courses It is probably the most dramatically charged of New Zealand's two major isles. There are few more attractive places on the world. One round on the isle will take you to fiords, hills, glaciers, rainforests, vines, incredible shores and breathtaking seas in an area the scale of England.

Uninhabited until the Maori came about 500 years ago, Europeans (and Chinese) began to arrive in numbers around the 1860' goldrush period, and soon after that, the Otago Gulf Club in Dunedin was the first to be founded in 1871.

Queenstown is now the undisputed centre of premium class course - our three best South Island courts are all close to this breathtaking lakefront area. The last update of our South Island Ranking was in March 2017. Jack's Point course lies between 2,300 meters of saw-toothed, racorback Remarkables chain and magnificent Lake Wakatipu to the west.....

Christchurch is the second-oldest course in New Zealand and has a long tradition dating back to 1873. Typical evaluation of the experts: Reviewer Score: Terrace Downs Resort's 550 hectares are located in the southern Alpine spurs, an hour's car ride from Christchurch, on the outskirts of the Canterbury Plains.
