As you will fly to Honolulu, you could stay there for three days on your return and one night you could circumnavigate the isle. It is my least popular isle because of its large populace, but there are many rides. It' nice, but too overcrowded for my tastes. Big Iceland has an enormous diversity, with a very humid and humid side, a very arid and arid side, very high (sometimes snow covered) hills, a very busy vulcano and different climatic zones and vegetations, dependent on your altitude and your exposition to the humid NE-gales.

It' my favourite island in Hawaii, and you could try a decent test of it in six nights. The Kauai is small and private, and it will be very enjoyable in September. Between Kauai and The Big Island, the differences are that you can come from anywhere (except Na Pali) to anywhere and back in one go, and you get a true feeling for it in a whole fortnight.

In this season there will be good snorkelling without the travel agents mob burying many Maui-sites. Considering the jetlag and your timeframe, I would stay 3 night on Oahu to begin, then go to Kauai or the big island for at least a whole weekend and finally go back to Honolulu for as many as necessary for as many dates to mate what you were missing on your flight.

I spent a whole 4 weeks on Kauai in the northern part (Kilauea, Anini Beach, Hanalei or Haena) and the remainder around Poipu or Koloa in the souths. I stayed 3 nights on the Big Island in Kona and then moved to the coast of Waimea or Hawi.

There is usually a 3 week or longer sojourn in a home or apartment. There is no way I would even think of trying three islands in 10 orgasms. Much of the Hawaiian adventure consists of slowing down and enjoying the "island time", especially after a long sojourn. Much of the hassle of traveling in automobiles, airfields and rent a vehicle isn't really what the islands are all about, IMHO.
