Auckland is never boring!
Well-known as the "City of Sails", the water-based activity here is great, with boats scattered around. Situated in the heart of the town, the centre is easily explored on walking distance, with nearby art collections, art collections and the legendary Skytower. There are more than enough great things to make everyone feel good: Rainbow's End, Auckland Zoo, Stardome Observatory and Planetarium offer some of the best entertainment.
The Auckland War Memorial Museum is in the suburbs of Parnell and is on many visitor rosters presenting the story of New Zealand, its inhabitants and its ancestors. Auckland Art Gallery is easily accessible in the centre of the town, bordering Albert Park, a tranquil urban area. You can relax on the gold sand in the northern part of the town, and often you have the sand to yourself!
