If you imagine your Fiji holiday and your activity in Taveuni, the first things that come to your head are on the canal. It' truely negligent not to talk about Taveuni's amazing beach and sea, but there is much more on Fiji's third biggest island.

Taveuni's inside is surrounded by a thick jungles that invites you to explore. Fortunately for the island's tourists, there are hiking paths and jungles that take you through the city. Actually, it is unbelievably hard to name just five of Taveuni's top things!

The Lavena Coastal Walkway across the east coast of Taveuni is the ideal choice if you want to see the unbelievable variety of Taveuni Island. Walking starts at the beach; a great way to spend the mornings on one of the east of Taveuni Beach. At the end of this nice hike it is the ideal place to chill out.

Traveling to and from the Lavena Coastal Walkway is not difficult, but requires transport from your residence or mansion. Whilst 80% of the Taveuni country is sheltered by the Bouma National Heritage Park, it is the sheltered waters off the coast of Taveuni that cause the most excitement among people.

Indeed, this is why many find their way to Taveuni. It' an unbelievable dive site located in several places near the sea floor to give snorkellers a good view of beautiful, colourful corals and all the species that call the dive home.

Not only is it one of the best diving spots in the whole wide globe, it is also an unbelievable place for snorkelling, kayaking and paddling. Visiting Taveuni is not complete without visiting Somosomo Street. Of all the things you can do in Taveuni, few are more interesting than a trip to Lake Tagimaucia, provided you know the importance of this area.

Here, in the renowned Taveuni jungles, is a place of Fiji's culture and geology. The Tagimaucia has become one of Taveuni's most popular nature sites over the years. The Tagimaucia Sea is located in the hills above the Somosomo Road. It was created a long time ago in a volcano craters and still has a fabulous waterfall.

But it is what is surrounding the pond that interests most people. On the way to the top of Des Voeux Peak, the second highest hill on Taveuni, you will be in the middle of a rainforest. The real rewards for your effort, however, are when you have reached the top. Des Voeux Peak is the top of the Tagimaucia Lakes and the clear and clear water.

You can even see Vanua Levu and the Lau Islands on clear days. This is a modest walk to the summit of Des Voeux Peak and will take an hour and a half on the way back. On Taveuni Island, the visitor can expect to experience several hundred adventure destinations, such as the Bouma National Heritage Park, excursions to the Tavoro Falls, a tour of the Tavoro Waterfalls, the World Date Line and even the Wairiki Catholic Mission Church, built in 1907.

On Taveuni, however, there is full authorization to do nothing at all. It is breathtaking and provides the chance to relax in some of the most stunning areas of the game. Whilst there are plenty of explorations and activity, every visit should take the moment to relax in the sandy or swimming pools, enjoy the tan and do nothing for a days or two.
