It is the goal of the North Shore Mums - Fiji. To make the island even more attractive, North Shore Mum Sharon Mitchell has created a practical travel book with which you can spend your holidays at an affordable price - from classic dance to frogs. Everybody loves a 5-star Tropenresort, in which breakfastbuffet is including!
During a 5 days vacation in Denarau, Fiji, our 4-member familiy (including 2 teenager daughters) found some great outdoor pursuits and dining outside the reserve that were free or less than $5! Take the Westbus (yellow village bus) - take the minibus with natives to Nadi Town Centre.
It is also a much less expensive way to get to the port than the'tourist bus' Bula, which cost $8.50. For" the " SCENENIC DIVE " - take the big western big cat from Nadi (as we accidentally did!) It is a rough 40-minute ride on unpaved streets where natives are living, eating animals and horse by the roadside and kids playing football naked.
If you' re in Fiji, get your hair done! It' a long custom in our families that my man gets a ribbon in every land we go to. He stood opposite the shears in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Macau..... and now Fiji. It' made at a walk-in Barbier in Nadi for FJD$5 (AUD$3.50) and the cutting is made!
Tradicional Kava & Dance Ceremony - In the resort a meal show would have been FJD$400 (AUD$280) for ours. FREE is a night show in the harbour. It' a 90-minute, intriguing, tradional + culture show, which features various costumes changes, fire dance, Swords performances and publicity.
In the harbour there are a lot of places to eat, which are much cheaper than the resorts. The Street Food - a basic fold-out desk near the cab stand at the harbour from 6:30 am. She is a Fijian woman who is selling her new goods to cabbies, boatmen...... and us. Frogs catching Yes, frogs, frogs everywhere!
When you have brave teenage children or amphibian-loving children, it's great to catch them.
