The great Barrier IslandLarge Barrier Island
Nature is king on Great Barrier Island. Auckland and the turbine-coloured, island-covered water of the Hauraki Gulf provide the setting for a memorable journey! Explore the old mountain roads, admire wind-sheared bongs of bonsais and try to discover the orchid on thetop. They are all opinions, elevations, views, elevations from the snowy rocks.
Walk through the'Windy Canyon' in the Great Barrier's main mountain region to the Mt. Hobson hill. Cross a series of stunning scenery.... brooks fringed by gorgeous indigenous bushes, tranquil wetland and woods of cauri, rimu, khikatea and more. With 621 meters and the highest point of the island the 360 degrees view from the top of Mt Hobson are definitely deserving of the ascent!
Our goal is the amazing sandy beaches you have seen on your flights, Medlands Beachs. Shared a while on Memory Skirt before you explore the cliffs or hike through the gorgeous blank sandy beaches. You will be taken by your travel guides to the Great Barrier International Terminal, where you can fly back to the real world / to the continent at 5 pm.
For the Great Barrier Island Escape you need to be moderately fit. Hiking routes are light to medium. Routes run from well-formed roads to roads interrupted by trees, rock, mud, etc. Hiking time varies between 3 and 7 hrs per days. The Great Barrier Island Escape tours start several days a week, from the end of October to April.
The most hikers take off from Auckland International and arrive at Great Barrier International Airports.
