Tau Lore
dew lorryAny new lore from the new Tau Codex : 40kLore
There' s a fair amount of new lore: All the Gulf of Damocles was burned down and the further extension of dew to the west was block. They sent Commander Surestrike to take them down. The Supreme Aun'va is still gone, but the Essential Oils have not made it known. If a Tau Commander detects this, he rebels and is essentially wiped from the story.
The third dome of growth ended with the Damocles Blaze. The Hive Gorgon fleets had everything in the eastern part of the Tau, the western part is shut down, and the Necron-Sautekh dynasty ruled the remainder of the immediate borders of the Tau. Despite Ka'buto's warning, the etherals immediately activated the whole Fourth Dome fleet's lee motors, with the large-scale use of antimatter actually causing a huge wound that devoured them all.
Their fleets are considered doomed, the ethnic's hide the debt and the slipstream engines are put on ice. They accuse the non-dew in the navy of what is going on and drive away/kill their aid allotments. Just a quarter of the navy (including Surestrike) survive the voyage, but they actually appear many centuries after their extinction on the other side of the wound in the heart of the Emperor's area.
The Fourth Sphere immediately sent a UAV back into the fissure from which it came, and it reappears on the other side of the Tau Empire and makes initial contacts. Dew discovered that their massive use of slipstreams has caused a wormy hole, and it is renamed the Startide Nexus. A new sphere of expansiveness (the fifth) is organised by the Etheric with Schattensun (who has been in state all this time), it is moving through the startide Nexus and expanding from there.
Survivor fourth sphere of dew will be reintegrated into fifth. With the empire fully occupied with the catastrophe of the Great Graben/Noctis Aeterna, the dew never encountered true opposition and rolled over many man-made realms, in additon to the battle against Orcs/Necrons/Hive Fleet remains. The ex-4 Tau spheres are very traumatised by their experiences and are operating with a cruelty that you normally don't see from the dew.
Subsequently, Shadowsun insists on action and the ethers take all non-dew from the quotas of the fourth sphere and the commandants are subjected to "ritual punishment". Commander O'Kais of Dawn of War 1 resurfaces, sent to battle Nurgle Daemons/Plague Marines in Kellik Plague War. The last part of the dew time line states that the Death Guard has launched a major assault on the Nem'yar atoll side of the Startide nexus.
This is Shadowsun in charge. Aetheric people are afraid that if the other side of the hex drops, the Deathguard will enter the dew empire's own core.
