Swain' s Cay Lodge - Review of Swain's Cay Lodge, Andros, Bahamas

I' ll begin with the reasons why the resort gets 3-star. While the resort was not very crowded, 1-3 mansions were leased per day in January 2013, but the personnel was still alert and made you home. Unless it was for the bonus fishing voyage, they would get 5 star on Bahamas standard.... it's not a Four Season's nor should it be expect.

Before the reservation it was clear that we wanted to catch bony species with spinnerrod instead of flyfinfishing. Then we reconfirmed the spinnrolls that we had taken when we got to the resort, at the evening meal before the angling expedition and eventually when we got on Randy's canoe.

Randy went on to take us into the apartments, then recounted that he had not obtained any lures and that we would throw dried fly with spinnerets in a 20 knots breeze. In order to make things even more difficult when we went back to the resort and one of the other leaders asked him about the journey and we talked to him about the spin fly, he was laughing warmly and both he and the resort personnel found it unbelieving that Randy did not get out of the ship and took a shell or prawn as lure, as it seems that she is the main lure they use, as the prawns have to be embarked from Nassau.

We interviewed Randy about it and he directly said it was Swains Cay's job to deliver lures, and if we had remained at the Mangrove Cay Resort, they would have delivered him. It' not what I was expecting from someone who got on Swain' Cay. I' m not sure where the real trouble is, but in the end we went to my woman to get her first bony caught and that part of the journey was a blow.

In order to end on a good notice, we had a cute half days off the waterfront with reel tightarters, catching a bottlenose dolphin and Yahoo, who dined most of the resort all the week, and also enjoying fish off the resort in front of the resort, where you can catches bone fish on an incoming tide, so some at the resort did that against paying hundred bucks to Randy and my boyfriends.

At the end we would suggest the resort to pairs and fishermen who know what to look forward to in the Bahamas and don't need a small children's swimmingpool but we' ll never be back, which is too good as the others were kind-help.
