It is Fiji's ambition to regain a leading position in local and international matters, as well as in the environment and peace-keeping. It is the South Pacific's business, transport and education service centre. The Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIF), the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) and the University of the South Pacific have their biggest presence in Fiji.
