"This is a sequel to Professor Merz's trip to Samoa last year," says Susau Solomona from the University Community Program. Merz joined the NUS musical programme to Savaii in 2015, attending elementary and middle school in order to support it. He has a high degree of professionalism in his approaches and technique and comes from Europe, where classic repertoire was created and has grown over many years.

Merz's access to musical pedagogy, his interpretation and his understanding of classic literature increase students' esteem for this type of music," added Solomona. "We have the privilege of playing with Professor Merz works of this calibre, as they are usually only played by qualified professionals abroad. In the past year, Merz reviewed the university and MIT curriculum and made suggestions that are now being made.
