Anyone know how long the survivors are shooting and whether they'll be shooting in October? I hear the island's truncated if they do, is that a dilemma? Shooting is scheduled to be completed on July 14, 2017 - there would be no trouble in October. Mana block-outs this year are: as above - until July 14 (Survivor films); Blue Sky November 12-14; Schoolies November 19 - December 10.

Anybody know if Survivor 2018 will be shot on Mana Island? We' re supposed to be at a marriage on July 13th. I' ve already asked and get the answer from Mana Island Resort as follows; Bula and thank you for your e-mail. We will be chartering our resort from March 1 to July 7, 2018, so we will not accept any further reservations during this time.

This is the answer from Ratu Kini Dive Resort: During the shooting only the shore right in front of the dive center will be open. I' ve reserved Ratu Kini for this April. It' s reimbursable and if I can't go anywhere on the island, I can get a refund and make a booking somewhere else.

There is nowhere to go at this hour except in front of Ratu Kini? Are there any advantages at all during the shooting?

A Survivor TV show about Mana? We have just got back from Mana and a big TV show is about to start on the west side of the island. Well, I think it's a survivor serial that anyone can verify. Lots of staff and gear available for 3 month shoot.

During the first weeks of our visit I went to the viewpoint on the western side, where I could see some of the kits. We went back up the night before we were leaving Mana and in a whole fortnight they had gathered a lot of equipment, had flood lights, a lot of cables and a lot of odd folks who talked to themselves (testing secret microphones).

I' m sure it makes more sense than survivor. The first thing I noticed was that it was Survivor from the show that used to take place east of the North Beach promontory (the wrong temple).
