Stewart Island Trips

The Milford Wanderer is a state-of-the-art motor ship specially designed for navigation in the south of New Zealand. There are also many cruises, and additional kayak trips or hiking where there is enough space.

From Bluff, take the Foveaux Strait to Halfmoon Bay, where you will climb the Milford Hiker and head to Port Adventure. End the outing with an afternoons' sun and/or a stroll through the woods. 3 hours of early bird watching at Port Pegasus. From North Pegasus, you' ll be visiting the old 1800 Fishermen's Basin and Belltoppers Falls, then a 4-hour lake pass to Paterson Inlet in the afternoons.

Enjoy the mornings in the Ulva Island Aviary. After lunch we will stop at the historical whale watching centre in Prices Inlet and/or Kaipipi Bay Canoe. An early start from Golden Bay over Halfmoon Bay and Obanhood. Expedited Cataman to bluff in the afternoons.

A 15 minutes stroll to Golden Bay to take your boat to the open birdwatch reserve Ulva Island. On Ulva, you' ll be able to hike for an hours or two on the magnificent hiking trails through the predator-free woods of the Podocarp, where many threatened wildlife lives. Back to Golden Bay, take a stroll to the Oban Town Ship, where you can buy lunches in one of the many and diverse restaurants.
