How to find us on Stewart Island
Stewart Island Lodge is situated on a hill and provides a tranquil retreat. Overlooking Halfmoon Bay and the sea behind. Situated at the south tip of New Zealand, Stewart Island is easy to reach by Stewart Island Experience boat from Bluff to Oban (1 hour) and by small airplane from Invercargill Airport (20 minutes).
The Stewart Island Lodge is only 5 minutes walk from the pier where the boat leaves and arrivals. We' ll meet you on your way to Stewart Island.
Booking your Stewart Island Lodge
It is only five walking minute from the center of the town, where there are bars and a small bar. Checking in date: Checking out date: Lodge is shut for the hibernation period (June & July). Situated at the south tip of New Zealand, Stewart Island is easily reached by the Bluff 1 hours boat and a small Invercargill 20 minute airplane.
Upon your arriving on Stewart Island, please register at the Oban Visitor Centre (next to the boat terminal). We' ll take you to the lodge. When arriving by plane, please let us know so we can meet you at the Stewart Island International Airports.
Checking in 14:00 hrs; Checking out 10:00 hrs (regardless of boat departure) - Please be aware that some baggage facilities are available. During other seasons (June & July) Stewart Island Lodge is available for group reservations for up to 12 persons (6 sleeping rooms, living room, open plan dining room, BBQ and kitchen), please contact us.

There are many indigenous species, such as caca (indigenous parrots), which can be seen from the patio. The Stewart Island Lodge is New Zealand's most southerly lodge and is only a five minute stroll from the Halfmoon Bay town. The Stewart Island Lodge can be booked exclusively for small groups up to 12 persons (6 sleeping rooms, living room, open plan cooking & BBQ).
