The Stewart Island Experience runs the day-to-day catamaran services between Bluff on the South Island of New Zealand and Oban on Stewart Island. It will take about an hours drive to Stewart Island at up to 20 kts on the 39 km Foveaux road.

For those who travel to Stewart Island by boat, there is a car park next to the Bluff station during the night and at extra charge. Bus transfers are also available from Invercargill (all year round), Queenstown & Te Anau (seasonal) to Bluff and can be arranged during the reservation procedure.
