HSBC Standard Chartered Hires
Standards Chartered has named a new manager for Singapore Industrials. Bankier comes from a big competitor. Steven Cranwell, who is located at Standard Chartered's Singapore branch, will be in charge of the bank's Commerical real estates division and will be part of the Group' s overall financial operations. Mr. Cranwell will be reporting to Paul Skelton, Vice President, Corporate World.
Mr. Cranwell joined Standard Chartered from HSBC, where he most recently served as Director of Financial Services for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. Standard Chartered Managing Director Bill Winters described his bank's preparation for Brexit as "uncomfortable and expensive". In Asia, where the EBRD is generating much of its operations, the EBRD said that Donald Trump is making a big error in permitting China to increase its overall financial impact in areas from which the US is withdrawing.

Before being appointed, Mr. Cranwell was Head of Large Corporates at HSBC in Singapore, where he was in charge of the bank's large corporates. While with a large Aussie financial institution, he has a wealth of experience in the areas of institutions financing, venture and assets financing, as well as trading financing and consulting.

Steven Cranwell appointed Global Head of Corporate Property by Standard Chartered
The Standard Chartered Bank has named Steven Cranwell as Global Head Commerical Real Estate (CRE). Headquartered in Singapore and reported to Paul Skelton, Global Head, Global Bank, Steven will be in charge of the bank's market-leading CRE team. Mr. Steven has more than 25 years of professional expertise in the areas of project finance, asset finance, structured trade and advisory.
His most recent position was Head of Commercial Banking for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey at HSBC. Previously, Steven served in various executive roles at National Australia Bank, among them CEO of Hong Kong and Head of Institutional and Corporates Finance for Asia. Steve's nomination will take effect in late February 2018, pending official clearance.
