About us are
The year 2017 was an important milestone: our 10th jubilee of secure and prosperous small shipping. Between the breathtaking islands, lakes and peaks of the Inner and Outer Hebrides, our cruises are truly memorable experiences for all age-groups. We have a committed staff operating the boat and our sales/operations offices are located in Portpatrick, Dumfries and Galloway throughout the year.
Winters work is done at Holy Loch Marina, Dunoon, Argyll, where some of our cruises originated. St. Hilda, the first ship that came to us in 2007, is truly one of a kind in this area. Constructed in 1973 at the highest level (Lloyds 100A1) in St. Monans, Fife, by the international renowned Millers shipyard (a 200 -year-old wood boatbuilding company ) and conceived by G.L. Watson, the world-famous shipbuilding engineer from Glasgow, who founded the world's first yachting agency in 1873 and was the first to challenge the America's Cup.
You will see the unbelievable fauna above the sea or under the sea. Being very conscious of the unspoilt water we are travelling in, we pursue a "leave only a wake" and "look and let alone" policies to protect the unparalleled world. Our ships sail through the wonderful canals of Crinan and Caledonian and take special whiskey cruises to the Mull, Jura and Islay stills.
Sailing adventures take place on our beautiful ex-ship St. Hilda or our small boat Seahorse II. More recently, younger members of the company's families have brought new excitement and digitally enhanced merchandising capabilities to the company. Unique is that the passengers on our minicruises are sailing and are instructed by our highly trained skippers/teachers. All age groups are welcome on the boat with many organized recreational and leisure acitivities, from tie knotting, study plancton to towing (on St. Hilda).
