Ensuring that every page you access is not just an occasion to find out about our islands and our population. We' re constantly commenting on the story, the cultural life, the legacy you see and why things are the way they are in Savaii! There is a boxed luncheon coming directly from our trusted cuisine and we also take care of your entrance fee and your entrance fee, so that you get a stress-free time!

It lasts just over half a full working days and includes the northern part of Savaii. We start with a stop at our colorful salelologa market before we head north. Short breaks are made at various sites of historic interest, such as Sapapalii, where Christianity was first established in Samoa, and fresh water sources along the coastline.

Journey north is a charming trip through many pretty, dispersed seaside towns, on the way you can take pictures. We culminate in the arrival on the 100 year old Saleaula caves. Afterwards we will go''Swimming with the turtles'', where we have the possibility to get into the sea with these astonishing animals.

Letui'peá pá pará pará cave' is our last stop, home to a native swifts populations that were almost extinct in the last 1990s, these charming bird species have found refuge in a captivating cavern that is one of many natural caves. It lasts just over half a full working days and includes the southern part of Savaii.

We start with a short stop at our very colorful salelologa fair and then go down the southern part. You will pass through several small seaside towns and luxuriant rainforests. There are bus and tram stations at various nature sites such as the freshwater sources, the Taga lake vaults and places of historic importance.

At the top of this trip is the ascent to the Taga blow holes, which are phenomenal in power and visibility. The sea waves are able to launch up to 30-metre high jets of seawater into the atmosphere through pipes of naturally occurring volcanic rocks that hit the oceans. A further favourite stop is a "tapa cloth" or "siapo" with a presentation.

Siapo, is an ancient Samoan tradition, which has been used for decorating and dressing since the beginning of the world. Siapo demonstrations are a wonderful way of bringing you to the home of some Samoan native woman who will guide you through the entire Samoan production chain, from the collection of the natural produce from the area to the finished work of work.

On the way back to Salelologa we stop at the freshwater sources and finally at our lovely Afuaáu Fall, where a cliff basin at the foot of a cascade allows us to take a swim. The Savaii Eating and Cultural Excursions, together with an enthusiast native tour leader, will give you a good idea of the true Samoa.

We start with an ufu (or Samoan Earth Oven) demo to help you make and make your own cuisine. Afterwards we will set off to our own Samoan town, get to know the customs and the Samoan civilization, while sharing with you the detail of our Matai system and sitting in a Samoan townhouse.

Take a walk through our town, learn about the cultures, flora and wildlife and share with you how our people work. Have a siappo demo and if you have the chance, a cold bath at the Afuaau Falls just a few minutes from the camp. At the end of this trip you will find a delicious Samoan luncheon where you can taste a range of delicious Samoan dishes and are invited to go swimming and kayaking at our luncheon station before returning to the departure boat or your salelologa drop-off point.

Touring costs $130 pp and a 2 min are needed to go on the trip. At least 2 people on the road. When you are on a short schedule and would like to see Savaii but cannot sleep, we will gladly pick you up from the shipyard in Salelologa (ideally the boat should be picked up at 8 or 6 am), take you on one of our peninsula trips, a lunch and a bath inclusive, and then take you back to your leaving boat the same orbit.

Choose from the above list of available itineraries. The trips are relaxing and further trips can be made for pictures etc. on demand. Reservations for guided visits are mandatory. Since we do not bring crowds of people to the islands every day, our trips are only carried out on reservation, which usually takes place once or twice a weeks.

It is therefore always advisable to arrange a trip in advance. You should bring: a solid set of boots, sun cream and cap, a bathrobe and a little cash for a swim and of course a cameraman! We do not offer guided visits for 1 persons. Also we are not able to offer guided visits on bank holiday.
