NZ-Hilfe for the promotion of Samoa tourism

The New Zealand government plans to spend 5.15 million US Dollar to promote tourism in Samoa. New Zealand's Prime Minister Bill English, who is in Samoa on the occasion of the fifty-fiveth year of his country's independance, said that supporting the tourism sector is one way to reinforce ties between states. Said that promoting tourism would enhance Samoa's economy and livelihood.

These funds will complement work on the modernisation of the Apia water front, the renovation of the Savalalo market, the redesign of the Apia main events area and the construction of a watch steeple avenue. Mr English said that Samoa has an immense amount of internationals to visit.
