Two further sides will be released soon to round off the Football Association's three-match-fest. Players' representative Leilani Latu (Tonga) and Sauaso Sue (Samoa) join NRL Head of Football, Brian Canavan and Campbelltown Mayor, Councillor George Brticevic for the upcoming event, which will take place on Saturday, June 23, at Campbelltown Stadium.
They were both part of this year's invitational and said they were looking forward to the chance to represent their countries again in 2018. "It was unbelievable the ambience during this year's Games and it is marvellous to see the continuing turmoil and blast of the Pacific nations' achievement during this year's World Cup," Latu said.
"It would be an honor to walk for Samoa again next year and defend my people," Sue added. Campbelltown Mayor Cr George Brticevic said the Campbelltown Sports Stadium's chance to stage the Pacific Test Match Invitational for a second year in a row was great for the locals and encourages them to get their seats early.
"The invitational last year has seen a all-time high and there is already a lot of commotion for the next episode," said Cr Brticevic. "I have no doubts that we will see three more great games in June next year when the internation e rugball leagues fall back to Campbelltown. Included in the ticket is admission to all three games, with adults starting at $12 for members of the clubs and families starting at $35.
