However, if you obtain an ATOL certificate but not all parts of your journey are included, these parts are not ATOL-protected.

Directions to Port Vila, Vanuatu

Port Vila is located in a well sheltered port on the SW side of the Efate archipelago, at the east end of a large cove known as Mele Bay. Getting there and on is very simple and safe. This is by far the most secure and simple port for your Vanuatu voyage.

Please be aware that there is no navigational lighting at the SE point of Mele Bay, as shown on some sea maps. When making the last stop at the port, it is important to prevent two coral corals from entering the port. Like on any of the islands, a day flight is always the most safe.

There' s a beam of lasers leading you into the harbour. They are in line when the lights are 78 degrees Centigrade. When the traffic lights are flashing reddish, turn to port when the lights are flashing forwards. Don't count on the two entry marks on both sides of the ticket being illuminated at dark because they don't always work.

As soon as you are safe in the harbour, drive to the isolation area - where the vessels can be seen in the above shown air photo of Port Vila. It is well sheltered from the wind and suitable for the evenings.
