I will never ever unlearn the gleaming lush foliage, the warm and welcoming people of the islands and the beautiful times when Emily and I watched whales, went on our first ATV trip, cycled around Bora Bora for 8 hrs and simply hung out together in paradise.

I' d never be paying the retailing costs - ~$8,000 for two on Costco Travel's bus or ~$12,000 in Bus Service - but mileage and points let us have Big Travel with Small Money! So, I was planning a second wedding trip to Polynesia with the lady of my dream!

So I opted for 2 flitters of about 1 whole Saturday instead of 2 more. I' ve scheduled our first hibernation in Paris on July 4 and our second flab... So we can take 10 day off, but only 8 day vacation!

  • and found airline bookings and confirmation flights to Polynesia! I have not done any research to find out more about Bora Bora. and I have faith in his judgment. First of all I reserved every 6 days at the InterContinental Thalasso in Bora Bora. However, I have reduced our sojourn at the InterContinental Thalasso to only 3 overnight stays, including 1 overnight at the Hilton in Moorea (only 30 min by the Papeete ferry) and 2 overnight stays at the Hilton in Bora Bora.

There were 3 of them in 7 nights! Actually, I wanted to spend every single evening in a different kind of accommodation and see the InterContinental in Tahiti and Moorea and the InterContinental La Moana in Bora Bora, but every single evening would have been the opposite of Emily's honeymoon!

I' ve changed our reservation to the Hilton because we would be saving cash with the free breakfasts (~$30 per person) and the free web at the Hilton Hotel because of our Hilton Gold stat. Receive Hilton Gold by moving virtually to Australia or with the Citi Hilton Reserve map.

We' ve been saving ~$80 a days (~$60 on breakfasts and ~$20 on the Internet) at the Hiltons in France -Polynesia because of the Hilton Gold state. We' ve flown 150,000 Delta Leagues in Air France to Papeete from Los Angeles and back in Air Tahiti Nui to Papeete as well.

This mileage is very useful for trips to Polynesia, as they work with both Air France and Air Tahiti Nui for US to Tahiti services. AME Membership Rewards to Air France (30,000 bus or 60,000 airfares for 1-way Air France + ~$200 air fares for 1-way Air France), Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Korea Air (60,000 bus or 90,000 airfares for the 90,000-mile Air France Roundtrip) for Air France air to Polynesia.

For the record, using points and points to visit Polynesia is difficult and takes a lot of work. In the next few days I will check the air and accommodation facilities to Polynesia and our experiences in paradise with many details and images so that you can plan your journey to paradise!

Polynesia is costly in France, but it is possible to go there without having to break the bench.
